Knuckles Should Not Die Because Of Stereotyping
I like this dog. He looks harmless. He didn't bite anyone. No dog should die because he got out of a yard. Maybe we can help stop this?

For your information, this matter is not in the City's hands as reported recently in the newspaper. The matter is being heard before Judge Harrison on May 12, 2006.
Suzanne Bragdon
City Manager
City of Suisun City
This area has some of the highest dog attack mortality statistics in the nation and the hardline stance is a direct result of the need for public safety. Knuckles looks like a sweet dog but his owner needs to wake up and see the situation from her neighbors perspective - a loose pet of any kind can be a menace on many levels, a large male pit on the loose is an open invitation to disaster both for the dog and others. IMO An owner who cannot contain their dog even after being court ordered to do so, is not a good candidate for PB ownership. What about the other people and animals in the area, dont they deserve some assurances that they can walk in safety? The dog should not die for his owners failings, but the authorities are between a rock and a hard place.
Dear Ms. Bragdon,
I received a communication today wherein you contend that the information reported in the Fairfield Daily Republic's story of Knuckles the Pit Bull is incorrect. Have you also notified the source of this misinformation, Sgt. Mike Rowe of the Suisun City Police Department? It was, in fact, Sgt. Rowe who told the Daily Republic's reporter that the matter of Knuckles' fate was now in the hands of the city manager and city attorney. Furthermore, I myself spoke with Sgt. Rowe directly on April 26th, the day before the article was published, and he told me exactly the same thing. Hence, I think you should address this matter with Sgt. Rowe, in addition to sending out emails and leaving blog comments regarding this factual error.
Also, it is my understanding that Ms. McPherson's attorney is actively communicating with the city attorney to negotiate Knuckles' release prior to the May 12th court date, to save Ms. McPherson as well as the City of Suisun both time and undue costs. If this is in fact true, then it appears that the city attorney, if not the city manager, does indeed have some measure of authority over the outcome of this case and, hence, Knuckles' fate. So until I'm instructed otherwise, the contact information for the Suisun City city attorney and all other pertinent Suisun City powers-that-be will remain on the SAVE KNUCKLES website.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Administrator, SAVE KNUCKLES website
Sure, she made a mistake in letting the dog out. You going to kill the dog because of the owners mistake. Give me a break. If we killed every dog whose owner was not perfect we would kill 10 million dogs a year.
I'm sending out a toy and a note from my young niece pleading for Knuckles release. Stafordshire Terriers(pitbulls) are wonderful dogs. Descriminating an entire breed of dog makes no more sense than descriminating a race of humans. This is a lesson my niece understands, already at her young age.
The problem with animal authorities is they lack creativity. Knuckles is between a needle and needle...and he never bit anyone. If this were a black lab this would not even have been a question. Also, Tiffany you can NEVER leave your dog with someone who would allow him to escape again.
Knuckles WINS! She's going home tomorrow!!! Thank you Eric for keeping Knuckles story front and center on your blog all this time--your blog helped generate A LOT of traffic to Knuckles' website, resulting in a lot of emails, calls, faxes, etc. on Knuckles' behalf. Thanks so very, very much!!!
