Vick Rant

We all know that Michael Vick is a scumbag. Who really thinks he owned a house with 60 abused dogs that he knew nothing about. It has been going on for years. It was all his family? I think the great thing is everyone in the country knows the truth.

But this rant video is the best I have seen trashing MV.

You can Watch It Here

BTW- Here is a picture of a Pit who was abused with 30 other pits licking his rescuers face as he was taken from the filth, abuse and neglect he had lived since he was a puppy... An amazing picture I think:

This is so sad! We have the same problem in Ga. After trying for a WHOLE YEAR, we still can get nothing done. Vick is famous, so something is being done.
I have 25 POUNDS of mail, letters, phone calls, and police reports, all the way to the Govoners office in Ga. Peta, ASPCA, NO ONE will get involved., if anyone can tell me where to ask for help now kindly let me know, I even have video and pictures.

Love the picture of the rescue worker with the dog.

But don't agree with the rant video. Promoting that Vicks be set naked in a dog pen just promotes the image of this breed as one who's only purpose is to kill.

I don't think that is anything an advocate for the safety and health of dogs should ever promote. It leads to legislation against and fear of specific breeds.

Just like with people, pits can be the sweetest babies, or puer hell- depending on how they are rasied. Ours has nothing but kisses for us.

That is an amazing photo. I am astounded by the depth of love these animals can have for us, even after they are so mistreated.

We are lucky to know them.

Did you see the article about a kennel using Vick's jerseys as cleaning rags?

We've got a lot of discussion going on about the Michael Vick thing over on Dogster: http://www.dogster.com/forums/Dog_Laws_and_Legislation

Thanks for everything you do for our furry friends!

The spin doctors make it sound as though Vick "only" killed 8 dogs (in ONE MONTH!!!!)... BUT he was in this nasty business officially since 1994 and yet none of the dogs seized were older than 3. There are many many more skeletons in that closet.
Fighting dogs never win. the prevailing dog only "wins" another day at the hands of his tormentors, wounds untreated, unloved, underfed, and put back in harms way at the earliest opportunity.
I hope Vick gets to play football in a league where the losers are shot, hanged, drowned, electrocuted, or body slammed into the ground until they are dead. Until then he should just slide back under the rock he crawled out from under.

There's been a lot of talk among news and sportscasters re: Vick should (and likely will) get a second chance, post sentence.
Absurd, I say. These commentators' references to past mistakes by the NFL and other institutions that gave their fallen stars second chances does not warrant doing it again with Vick. That's the definition of insanity: doing the same thing over expecting different but getting the same results. Here, the second chances have not cleaned up the NFL.
I agree with what others have said: Vick just belongs back under the rock out from which he slithered.
